Cub Scout Rookie Camp

Rookie Camp, held at Camp Sam Wood, is the perfect way to introduce the youngest or newest Cubs to Resident Camp.  A single night, with one or both parents, with a modified "camp schedule", shows a Cub all the fun he's able to have at camp!

Check in is late afternoon, followed by a fast orientation.  Dinner is served, and then some fun and games.  Is that it? Hardly!  A trained Camp staff member will take your Cubs and you to your campsite, where you'll have a real campfire!  A good night's sleep will prepare you for the day ahead...

Your day at camp will include the same full program offered at the 3 day Resident Camp,  but geared toward "first timers".  Archery, Crafts, Swimming, Sports, BB guns... they're all available,  along with fully prepared breakfast and lunch, and a short "siesta" to recharge your batteries (and maybe the Cubs' batteries as well.
