Camp Sam Wood

Nestled in the woods, not far from Letchworth State Park, Camp Sam Wood is Iroquois Trail Council's Cub Scout Resident Camp.  Entirely separate from the Boy Scout resident camp (Camp Dittmer), Camp Sam Wood allows Cub Scouts an introduction to camping, with a structured program following a theme (the Iroquois Nation, Knights in Shining Armor, etc.), Cubs sleep in walled tents on wooden platforms, and eat nutritious meals, prepared and served in the mess hall.  Many activities are available to the Cubs, including archery, bb gun range, Nature area, swimming in the pool, and more.  For each Cub to get the maximum value, a parent is not only allowed, but encouraged!

Cubs enjoy an opening campfire, special themed activities, Scout Vespers and more in this 4 day, 3 night camping experience.
